Day 1 - Monday (Gudi Padwa)

Incidentally the first day of the new year.. But since it's such an auspicious occasions it wasn't a very good start to my plans for healthy eating 

Breakfast (9.30 am) - poha 

Mid day meal (11.30 am) - 1 glass chikoo milkshake

Lunch (1.30 pm) - 3 puris, aloo subzi, dal and rice with one spoon ghee

Dinner (8.00pm) - (repeat of lunch)

I did not eat anything between my lunch and dinner, I went for a movie and I consciously wanted to avoid eating anything other than home made food. Came back and had an early dinner instead. I realise that I was starving post the movie.. I should have munched on something in between. Need to be careful the next time.

Exercise was 30minute yoga warm up and 30 minute Pilates. (My thighs are killing me)

All in all, the puris and aloo subzi made the meals very oily. But I did limit the quantity as much as I could.

Need to loose weight.

Okay so. I need to loose weight. Three years ago, I magically reached my ideal weight (52kgs) ok who am I kidding, there was nothing magical about it. I stuck diligently to a diet, belly danced regularly 2 times a week and drank a lot of liquids. Unfortunately I got lazy after a while, thought it was Ok to binge and let go..and now I am 58Kgs. Okay I know that is not much of a difference, but it sucks when you don't fit in your older clothes. It sucks to not fit in the "small" sizes in the stores when I got dress shopping. My waist is 30' now as opposed to 27' I hate it!! More than that I feel so lethargic and I wake up with body pain in the morning. I have decided that I need to make a change. This time its not going to be a change till I reach my desired weight, but I just need to change the way I live. I need to stick to a regular if not daily exercise routine, and I need to watch what I eat, or eat at a regular interval of 2 to 3 hours. I am making this public because I have realized that I perform better under pressure. Once I hit the publish button, there really is no looking back. I will make a commitment and I need to stick to it unless I want to look like and feel a looser. I am going to try and post what ever I eat and drink, and my exercise regime. I am a lazy girl so I do not promise I will be regular at this. But I will try my best to. I am doing this just for myself, because I want to start eating healthy, staying fit and feeling better.
